so glad u reacted to ateez's black cat!!! honestly i share the same sentiments with you regarding them remaking black cat and i love how they still manage to keep the essence of the song in the performance. so proud of them!!!

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe they got some inspiration from Block B’s Jackpot and Very Good(rock version). Maybe whoever at KQ that helped remix the song worked on those too? I know the “strange oppa” sound bit from the beginning part of the song is from Jackpot and the heavy guitar sounds remind me of the Very Good rock version. And part of their choreo is from a dance break from an award show performance. All in all it was an AMAZING remastering and a really fun performance they should be proud of! I think in the episode they talked about how Ateez put this performance together super quick too, meaning not a lot of time to practice but were still able to come up with an awesome concept and perform so well! I saw the clip when they were named the winners and they were so shocked some of the members started crying!
