Disclaimer: A video like this is why I don't react to some stuff. For a recent example is WJSN "Butterfly". A lot of people have bombarded me on YT comments about it, and some here curious about it as well. On just a professional standpoint I think Butterfly is under budget, the MV is uninspired (with only a few nice scenes), and they have strayed from what has made them unique both in the song itself and MV direction. But that's just a professional insider's look on it. If I ONLY have constructive criticism I don't bother posting it at all because I believe music is about MORE than just the economics and professionalism of something. A song could be "critically" not great or average or etc. but to someone else that could be special or they love it. Same with the MV. People ask me often "oh are you sick of people requesting stuff". Nah, y'all don't get it. I don't like it when people request stuff because if it's something I'm not gonna watch, what other way is there to say "hey that thing you like? it's bad". For me, a music video or a song is different. To me, I see the production behind it, and I can comfortably rip apart a music video or a movie or a tv show or whatever to threads and NOT blame the talent because I know it's not their fault. But to the average person if you say a song is bad or if even a MUSIC VIDEO is bad, which the idols usually 90% aren't responsible for, they see it as a personal insult to their artists and I never want to perpetuate hurtful feelings like that. I only felt comfortable uploading OOPSY because I at least like the song, even if I think the music video is not good.

I personally love your analysis every single time, both the positives and the negatives. But I think I understand your point, you can't call something bad or anything even slightly negative in this community because some people will take it as if you insult the artists and their ancestors

I also like that you PD point out flaws. I have to agree. You can tell that this mv was made in a budget and it doesn’t fit or support how good the song is. It is a shame because as you said Weki Meki deserves better. I like that you aren’t afraid to say that and demand that for good groups and from their companies

It is so sad that you can't really critize something in this community. I can say i love Weki Meki but i can also honestly say that for me they debut song was a mess and with "DAzzle DAzzle" you could clearly see that Fantagio Music was trying HARD to climb out of the financial mess their CEO put them in. I have no knowledge about real MV directing or editing but i could probably make a better/funnier MV for it with my phone and my sisters clothes. "Butterfly" is a nice song but i also expected way more from WJSN, i especially expected more when the EP was called "Neverland". I mena you can do sooo much with the just the basic premise of "Neverland" of never growing up, dark desires and all that in between. I love KPop i love some idols, probably way to much (like I do think Lena from GWSN is THE idol of the 4th gen for me and i couldn't really explain it, she just is) but i am not blind to the fact that not every song by my favorite groups is a winner. Some are downright awful but damn i just kick them from my playlist and the world is right again.

Love the song but honestly the video is so plain it’s just as good as inexistant. Really wish Weki Meki could get something better as they deserve it :(

Great analysis. I personally liked the song a lot but when the teasers started rolling out I could tell something was off and then the mv debuted and it felt bare. I think it would provide more insight being critical. I think stans need to realize there are some things out of the idols control and what you’re mainly critiquing is the work of the producers and directors who ultimately “fail” the group and not the idols themselves.

Dazzle Dazzle's MV was way more interesting than this one, and the song was more original. This song is nice, but really uninspired, and it's one of the worst, if not THE worst, MV of the year. It's completely washed out, nothing interesting. Dazzle Dazzle was at least appealing, with all the colors. And the performance was out of this world. You should react to the live, maybe you would like it more!
