If I'm correct, Soojin and Soyeon both choreograph their songs.

Lecia

I totally agree with what you mean about the choreography.

I definitely agree. The concept has so much potential, and while I think the mv made the most of that, the choreo (and the verses of the song in my opinion as well) don’t serve the concept justice. To their credit, though, I don’t feel like the song lends itself to choreo very easily, especially with the chorus being half-time. I do love the outfits they’ve chosen for the backup dancers thus far though with the black gloves here and the full lace face coverings in other videos. I hope the stylists commit to the concept for the rest of their live stages.

i agree for the most part but seeing as im a die hard fan of them they can do no wrong in my eyes and pls help me

The choreo for me is peaks and valleys. Soojin and Soyeon sell it super well, but slowing the choreo during Miyeon's part (where she is increasing the energy of the song before the drop) legit baffles me.

You a right on about the choreo. When I first saw it I thought, oh I wish it were more like Sori - I am not alone.

Between this and lion I’m starting to think more effort is put into (G)I-DLEs dancers than most stylists put into groups.

I would like to touch on your point about the song being targeted to the western market. Hopefully you can open my eyes or something. Why do groups and/or companies feel the need to do something different to appeal to the "western market"?? kpop and in this case, idle, got popular by staying true to themselves, so why do they feel the need to have a more westernized sound/english songs/etc? For me it sounds counter intuitive...

I agree, i trust (G)I-dle and know that they can realize this isn’t their best work and will continue to work on improving. The choreo has really cool moments and the rest is ehh. I think other than Soyeon the line distribution is better than before. Shuhua is getting more comfortable and I like give her a verse to herself. Hopefully one day soon they can include her more. She’s the only one getting less lines but it’s more than before. Maybe like distributions would seem better if they blended the parts instead of each getting a long part

I’m an aspiring music artist. My dream is to be a global superstar. If these idols share the same passion that I do, why wouldn’t they want to try to reach every corner of the globe? They’re pretty successful in Korea, they can now give the west a try. Especially now that BTS has made it so much easier to branch out to the west. They can still be doing what they want while also trying to branch out. Bringing BTS back into this, it’s what they’re doing. They see what’s trending in the west and incorporate with the Kpop sound while also putting their own twist on it. Which is what soyeon is doing imo
