They actually did 4 takes for it to be perfect, it was live so imagine how exhausted they must have been !

I know for a fact that they prerecorded this performance - it was filmed several days in advance of them actually showing it on air - but, like you said, they probably wouldn't have been able to shut down Grand Central for very long. Honestly, I think that all of this was done in one take and they just had a ton of cameras rolling simultaneously that they then flipped between the footage of to try and get the best shots they could in post. Even if it wasn't done in one take, at most they did two or *maybe* three (though three would definitely be pushing it because I can't actually see differences in where people are standing between cuts, its just different camera angles) and then would have to immediately leave because, you know, its the grand central station in nyc.

They really blew it out of the water with this one, for suuuuure. Absolutely banger. If you finish the live video, you can actually see a few shots of some of the crew!

lol, I stand corrected, it really was 3-4 takes and because its bts they really just eat the choreo every single damn time so its impossible to tell

This is the best BTS comeback for me. Its so epic and emotional at the same time. The whole choreo has this beautiful energy and when the dancers started to cheer them up during the dance break they gave me goosebumps. You definitely have to check the dance practice. You can see in detail all the work from the dancers. Its their best choreography and performance by far

I know you don't usually react to dance practices, but just for you to watch since you've been loving the song + choreo, you should check out the dance practice for On !! I actually love how you can hear the dance crew hyping them up during the dance break etc, you can only hear it mildly on the Fallon performance, but it just adds to the epicness. https://youtu.be/VkuEzN8IS_o
