I completely understand how you felt about Park Bom's stage. I felt it wasn't really that interesting. That it really could have been better. I just want her to do something different instead of staying in her box. I loved Minnie's stage. I loved how Minnie really decided to take charge for the team. For the performance team, my favs were YooA, Soojin and Yein. Their facial expressions and their body lines are amazing

Literally joined your pattern because I was dying to see how you reacted to it. I haven’t seen all the episodes either, though I have been spoiled on who wins and final performances (those actually drive me to check out the show in the first place). I’m loving seeing your reactions and predictions!

Personally, though, I think Park Bom’s legend status is skewing perceptions. I wasn’t around to experience 2ne1 at their peak, but in Bom and Jung’s performance, I don’t feel like she was the better singer, or that she currently has the capability to outsing anyone on Queendom. I think she might have better range than a good portion, and she’s experienced, but I don’t think she still has the vocal chops to make use of her extensive knowledge, and I don’t feel like she’s going to rank highly because, in the end, this program is about giving a performance; K-pop in general is. On that front, she can only do so much, and will be outshone by the groups that can offer a grander performance by taking advantage of all the aspects that is normally included in a kpop act. I respect that she’s on the show, but I don’t see her doing well.

I agree with everything you said about the vocal unit performances. I thought that 95 and AA were very close, but I would put AA ahead simply because Minnie played an instrument on stage, which will always get respect from me, the song was personalized and I also think that Instagram is just a more interesting song that the other two musically. Hwasa and Kei did really well though. As for the performance unit, it was unfair on Eunji from the beginning and not having a solo dance was a loss by default. Yein and YooA both amazed me followed by Soojin and Moonbyul, who I thought did great, but they both stayed in their comfort zone with their solo dances I think. Chanmi's just felt a bit...unfinished I guess. There was a lot of just walk/running to the next move.

I just wanna give applause to your commentary, I am currently introducing a new person to the wonders of kpop, i thought twice was just her, but she fell for AKMU (did not expect that from someone who has never heard kpop), anyways im showing her queendom next, to showcase the different groups/soloist, I love the show, and my applause goes with im probably gonna show your reviews, since you give some needed background and it will save me having to explain to much (im lazy), and you make it entertaining, i dont regret my patronage at all :D

I agree with you saying the cards are stacked against Park Bom, I think they should've added another solo idol to the queendom lineup to make it more fair. In every episode I notice that Park Bom seems really lonely although the others try to engage with her and she mentions missing 2NE1 a lot. It's also unfair also because she can only show her singing unlike the others who can all sing and dance. It seems more like queendom was just something that can get her truly back into the scene and not that she will win.

I can’t see any of you videos even though I paid. It says the amont of plays has exceeded.😪 please help

My ranking this episode. Vocal Unit 1 Hwasa and Kei 2 Hye Jeong and Minnie 3 Hyo Jung and Park Bom Dancing Unit 1 Yooa (This was insane) 2 Ye In (I’m a sucker for Modern dance) 3 Moonbyul (Surprised me and her own song) 4 Chanmi (Just overall great) 5 Soojin (Queendom got a double meaning now) 6 Eun Ji (Because no solo dance)

I don't know if u got your answer, but with google drive, there is limit of how many can watch, u just need to wait couple of days or download the videos to watch.

I agree with you, PD, about Park Bom. I feel like you're one of the few people who seem willing to say that something is wrong, without being unkind. I think the worst thing right now for Park Bom is that she seems to be surrounded by people who will not be honest with her. She needs to see a vocal trainer to figure out how to adjust for the changes in her vocal cords or whatever has happened to her. Is it bad habits, or something physical? I don't know. But if the people in her circle care about her, truly care, they'll have to be honest with her, both about her vocal condition and her tendency to be a tiny bit too emotional. It's so sad. 2NE1 was one of the very first kpop groups I liked -- one of the ones that got me into the genre. I will never not be a fan of Park Bom's. I hope things improve for her.

I'm clearly way way behind, but thank you for saying exactly what I was thinking about Park Bom. This whole show I've felt bad for her, and I hate that. I hate that what happened, happened, but I want her to be happy, and it seems sometimes like it's hard for her to get passed no longer being in her group. I want to see her grow as a performer and vocalist and to take the stage with confidence as a solo performer, not wishing she were somewhere else. "She needs to be a phoenix" is the perfect phrasing.

希文 王

unfortunately I agree with you on Park Bom. Especially regarding the lines and performance, you can tell from when she and Hyojung were deciding the arrangement, Bom really just wanted to sing the original while Hyojung was thinking more of the performance, and the line distribution was really meh :\ I think the point of duets is to feel the chemistry, but because of their (mostly Bom's) choice of approaching it it just felt like two sad people singing about their own stories, and yeah I liked Hyojung better than Bom, I think she needs to get some help and it really sucks because I really liked 2ne1 and I feel so bad for what happened

PD not being able to deal with Solar's facial expressions-honestly same, she's so open that it's kind of funny.
