So this is just a test video part of our new initiative starting March. In this particular test I'm doing a dramatic reading of Seventeen's "Home". *NOTE: WEAR EARBUDS OR HEADPHONES.

This is NOT how the video will actually look when we make this series live, this is just placeholder footage because the real video will require some vfx work. Also I recorded this audio in a rush so you'll hear random chair creaking and my cats meowing in a few faint spots. For the "official" release I will re-record and going forward also just have a soundproof recording booth as well.

But let me know what you guys think! I did this because I've never been into the whole "whispering" ASMR or hearing brush sounds or whatever. I just like to hear people TALK and I was hoping we could maybe make this a thing then other people will start doing more talk-based ASMRs so then I'll have better stuff to listen to.

My plan is to do dramatic readings of K-POP song lyrics but if you have any suggestions on what else to read, let me know in the comments!

I'm the same, I'm not into the whole sounds and tapping and eating stuff that ASMR usually is. This has a lot of potential, and I'm really interested to see where you take this once you are able to do it when you have more time to devote to it. What might add to this is having some kind of noise in the background, to sleep I usually play smoothed over brown noise ,so on that vein, putting a really subtle but consistent noise in the background might add a really comforting and soothing layer to this.

I like this idea a lot! Inflections are so different when someone is speaking vs. when they are singing. It was really interesting to see where you put pauses and what syllables you emphasize. I'm looking forward to more of this!

I like this, it was actually very relaxing! The only thing (and a minor thing at that) that bothered me was the English lines. There's a lyrical quality to Korean to me that translates well to spoken word, but the English ended up sounding a little awkward..

I just thought of another benefit to these ASMR/dramatic readings - korean language study! Because you're speaking at a slightly slower than normal pace, words are a lot easier to pick out.

I love this. We can appreciate the song on another level. Sometimes we get lost in the rhythms and forget the meaning of the lyrics. I don't speak Korean hahaha but what I mean is that lyrics are poetry too and I love this new point of view. I think it would be interesting to do it also in English so we can understand it and appreciate it, get lost in it. A really interesting idea would be to incorporate rainy sounds (for sad songs) and birds singing as if we were in the countryside (for love songs for example). That's just an idea hahahah. I do really love dramatic readings
