Imane Hi

In my honest opinion i think that this one is one of their best albums next to maybe the 'dark & wild' album or their 'the most beautiful moment in life pt-' albums. This is such a good album on an emotional and epic level and I was blown away. It feels very like a dark alley in a club district and i'm in love with it♡

the outro is tearing me apart and giving me life at the same time, it's epic

I also really loved the album. It really is hard to pick a favorite, but I had The Truth Untold and Outro: Tear on repeat as I traveled back home from the BBMAs this morning. Then again, I absolute love Magic Shop and Anpanman.

i think this album is the best representation of bts's style. HER wasn't the strongest but i think it was necessary for their growth. this album combined all their different sounds into one experience. old school hip hop from their early styles, R&B from hyyh, hard rap from early cyphers, edm from ly her (done well), emotional pop, and a new style for airplane and singularity. the album jumps from hype to great R&B that was missing from wings and her to really emotional unit songs. i think the unit songs (outro and truth untold) are the strongest unit songs they have ever had. to me outro:tear beats all the cyphers and the truth untold really showcased the vocal line ability. personally, (excluding young forever bc its legit 26 songs) this is my favourite album from them. i enjoy every song, there are a few that really stand out, and the ONLY thing i don't like is how the synth in magic shop covers the vocals, but this only happens during the chorus and the beautiful pre-chorus makes up for it. for some people this album isn't their style but i don't really see how thats possiblle bc this album is EVERY style. amazing video PD

also a side note: it kind of makes me sad when people say some of the songs on the album are repeitive. i understand where they are coming from, but that's kind of the point with R&B. its minimalist instrumental, driven by soft rap, and a nice vocal chorus. not to mention the lyrics are very strong. i think what bts does really well in this album is changes up the line distribution every time a section repeats. for example, the first chorus will be jimin and the second jin. this helps create a fresh texture each time.

@PD- Not sure if someone else has pointed it out to you, but for the outro, the orchestral sound is sampled from their highlight reel #3 !!

fun fact: rm contributed in all 11 songs in this album! suga is credited for 8 songs and jhope for 7, and obviously jungkook for magic shop. they really killed this album.

For me, it's the first album in a while where I honestly love every song and enjoy listening to the entire album from start to finish (on repeat). I think the album shows how they are growing personally and musically, but their growing confidence is obvious too. Great, great, GREAT album - can't wait to see them sing these live this fall!!
