This really isn't a good example of what XYOB actually is like as a show 😅 The original idea of XYOB is that they eat someting more or less fancy together and the guest is bringing the accompanying drinks. Brian and Joon actually make great MCs together, very enjoyable overall, Brian has had a good run with Youtube variety over the last year or so, with his other show "Cleaning Freak Brian" (which also has a tripleS episode 👀) also being very enjoyable to watch. I would say outstanding episodes are maybe the P1Harmony one or just recently The Boyz (as a guest on the new second season, which is called BYOB) I don't know the production background, but there's definitely a focus on english-speaking guests

Xyob is actually a very wild variety show..its a full package..its funny, entertaining it's just a very good show..im glad tripleS experience something this wild during their early years

Tell a member's name given her S number, don't worry PD that's what signals are for ^^ They showed the full GND choreo, even the bridge break dance part which, that part is performed basically by VV girls :D Yooyeon always forgetting some S member number, like in Omniscient... she forgot Naky's being right next to her, somehow Yooyeon is always target to S number questions lol Hyerin mimicking Joon, like she did to Kim Gura, always mentioning BIBI's sister, the food, schedules, transportation questions, well this is tripleS charm as a huge 24 member group ^^ and a member with a famous unnie Side note: Shion is a FOODIE, you will see more in signals, Nien showing more her muscles lately, I think she did too on VV's episode of Weekly Idol (and this is a remainder too for PD to watch it :P ... and *...ehem!* VV Summer Vacation! ...) I wish a bit of Xinyu and Joon, I don't know ..... but would've been funny, Xinyu being our foreign queen/goddess with Joon interactions

Yeah I watched the VIVIZ episode, of course 3 girls compared to 24, more of a eat/talk/interview show, in a smaller cozy set like they showed here at the beginning of the show, before they moved on the gym for this episode

Joon confuses me....Im not sure if it's a Jessi type thing where he plays up the whole "I don't understand korean" thing considering HOW LONG he's been in korea but both him and Brian definitely do lean into the whole 교포 thing. That being said, I don't think Joon is the most......ummmm....studious person there ever was. He still has trouble reading cue cards and whatnot Even for the Clean With Brian TripleS episode Brian and BamBam also spoke a fair amount of english.

btw....VV just had this show, 시끌벅적 뒤에서 말해요, and the concept being a member goes up front and behind them all the other members complain and nitpick about them. When Soomin called Nakyung a liar about not eating food in bed, imagine that but with 12 members and for 30 minutes straight......HIGHLY recommend

Kaede vs Nakyung in dancing is so so so interesting......it's obvious Kaede is a better technical dancer but the camera just LOVES nakyung and she just has...."it" when she moves.

I have noticed XYOB is weird about editing, like it all feels so short when we know they filmed more, not that it’s bad I get why shorter content does better but I’m always curious about what’s on the cutting room floor, this is for all episodes, but eating and drinking is always a big part of it !! On a regular ep they usually have like fancy high end dishes and guests bring drinks/alcohol so as far as budget they probably went a little over butttt not huge flex since ik they usually got special chefs

Lol Brian's dancing - always thought Fly To The Sky was a vocal group :D Btw: tripleS Visionary Vision got its first music show win today. And in general the first time a tripleS subunit got a win 🎉

Brians resurgence definitely has been due to the acceptance nowadays and viralness of “unhinged behavior” or at least passing formalities and being unfiltered (lots from his genuine disgust when he’s doing cleaning content), I do feel it’s different from the 2nd gen variety era of when instances of him and Jo Kwons playing up their bits labeled as “sassiness” was kind of used for laughs in a contained way where they’re applauded on the show but then yelled at by the company to stick to a certain male idol archetype concept — I think we’re seeing the change past that, especially since when people are hosts of the shows the crew is here to support that energy and Joon and Brian are meant to be very themselves and English forward per the concept of the show

XYOB is such a fun and unhinged show, i kid you not brian and joon be cursing every minute on a 30 minutes long video, they mostly talk in english since they invite english speaking guest, PD you should watch the other episodes even in your free time because this show is so hilarious

LMAO this came out at the time where a couple weeks they kept getting caught off guard with which S# went with who haha IIRC they messed up S17 Lynn a couple times Saying this again but I'll never get over Kaede's true self compared to when she first joined haha complete 180. She's so cool!

Y'all we need to let PD really know about Mangolim. Whenever you make a reaction on variety like this, definitely react to the Mangolim video. It's always better subbed than the originals. They're always quick with subbing variety content and lives too. There's a saying we say for Mangolim, "The Devil works hard, but Mangolim works harder".
