SION was from Mokpo. 😊 Just to share, he was casted through Insta DM. He initially rejected the offer to audition to SM because it was difficult for him to go to Seoul alone (he was young and it was far) and so he told them he could not go. SM was so persistent in casting him, they went to Mokpo, rented a studio there just for him to have his audition 😂 Thank you so much for this reaction 🫶 This was such a nice episode! I love seeing these kind of interactions from them. Hopefully we get more in the future 💚 Also hoping you'll be able to check out their survival/reality show NCT UNIVERSE: LASTART as well in the future 🙏 (Talented trainees, healthy competition, no evil editing, great judges and mentors, amazing performances, vocals 💯, and only 7 episodes.)

and fun fact Sion reveals that he was casted via Instagram DM by the same SM Entertainment staff who casted RIIZE's Wonbin (also via Instagram DM). that staff should get a raise. and even crazier that they were supposed to be in the same group, cause they also started being trainees around the same time and actually are really close friends

thank you for your reaction! I think they were still very shy at that time because they were only a month rookies 😂 but Sion did so well as a leader. I have been watching them for months now their variety skills are improving I hope all NCT have field day content together again. I want to see NCT Wish interact with other units more

The thing with WayV being and not being a NCT unit was because of the political situation between Korea and China, so SM was trying to not make it clear how much WayV is connected with NCT to make it easier for them to promote in China. Which changed with NCT 2020. Although NCT Wish is handled way better, there are still many fans, who are not fully/at all into them, because they are the “after thought and too young unit”. It is sad that NCT 2023 did not happen later that year, so NCT wish could have been included there too. Sure, we might get them involved in the future, but since the enlistment of members has started, it will be hard (if even possible at all) to gather them all to make it feel like a proper NCT reunion

the wishies are very cute, and they have good team chemistry and they have come out of their shell more. I honestly really like them when I watch their content, it feels like a little happy pill. They are really sweet and fun.

you were pretty spot on with their personalities. sion is from mokpo so i think the careful way he speaks is because of his accent. yushi is one of the oldest trainees out of all the wish members and so he’s completely fluent in korean, he even beat kangnam in a korean battle lol. he’s very soft-spoken so that’s why he comes off as really really shy. surprisingly the maknae sakuya is the least shy, he has a very direct personality. all of them are for sure on the quieter side tho when you compare them to the rest of nct

Omgg yes throughout this whole video I thought that Sion looked like Taemin! I also heard a lot of fans saying that he resembles Jaehyun

Yushi was a trainee for so long. He started out in 2016 at 12 years old, as a summers-only trainee. That's why a lot of the NCT members remember him being so small before. Also, he was already there when NCT Dream were learning how to ride hoverboards for their Chewing Gum debut stages, so he mentioned here how he remembers trainee Haechan used to wear his caps backwards. Then Yushi would go back to Japan for the school year. He only became a full-time trainee in 2018, so by then he was training with most of WayV members and RIIZE's Sungchan and Eunseok.
