Yessss they have some amazing performances even in these 2 first episodes

WiseSmellyLegs

PD, my dude… not to ignore the rest of the groups, but The New Six and Younite (Kyungmun’s group) are part of the line up… like… sure… if ONEPACT was there too, that would be total YES, but even without ONEPACT, I am asking, is that even a question? 😅

I'm still slightly bummed that Queendom Puzzle was so resoundly voted against, it was honestly not that bad (considering RU Next and I-land 2 that followed it). And pretty much every group that sent people to the show are groups you love! It's still in the Queendom/Kingdom family of shows, sad to skip it, and tbf PD hasn't done a female survival in a while (last show was Boys Planet, I think). There were some awesome performances in QDP!

I mean if you can find the full episodes somewhere pls do

WiseSmellyLegs

They are on Viu, which is mainly for South East Asian countries, but with VPN, it worked for me (even to make a payment to have it in Full HD)

Id rather wanna see you react to I-LAND 2 to be honest.

Okay, so I’m going to try and convince you to check out Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace, but if I’m honest, I think Peak Time is more enjoyable of a show then Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace (up until this point). The reason why you should check out Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace is because these are groups that are actually really good, the biggest problem is that they are promoting in an oversaturated market (which really makes me question if debuting new groups without a really solid concept or being very good at diverse music styles is even profitable at this point). But they themselves deserve a chance at being an idol group that wants to rise above others. This show is the perfect way to do that. Let me tell you some more about the groups: 8TURN: They are a group that are actually very solid dancers and have a rather strong concept going on. You don’t know any of the members, but this might be the best way to get to know them. A song you could check out from them that I would recommend is “Rum-pu pum”. ONEUS: You know them so you know what to expect Younite: This group is very diverse in the styles they can pull off, but you only know one of their members. But I dare say you love that member on the same level as people like Cheon Junhyeok, Yoon Jongwoo and Park Gunwook. The person I’m talking about is Lim Kyoungmun of LOUD. Their Co-Leader Eunsang was the X member (instead of being number 11 they chose the one who ranked the highest during each voting round combined) in X1 (the project group made by Produce X 101). A song I would recommend from them would be “Geekin’” TNX: You know them so you know what to expect TEMPEST: Same as with Younite, they can both do a fresh concept and a more fierce concept. You again only know one member in particular. That would be Hanbin of I-LAND. The only thing that concerns me about them is that their front man Hwarang left the group because of some people seeing him going out. Cravity: You know them pretty well. Their members Hyeongjun and Minhee were in X1, just like Eunsang, other than that they are also pretty diverse in music styles and can pull off various concepts. The Crew One: They are ATBO and JustB combined. You actually know a lot of people in this group to be honest. Starting with the fact that they have 2 participants of I-LAND, which are Geonu and Siwoo (Siwoo is JM who participated as Jimin on I-LAND, he is on hiatus though). The other member you know is Yeongyu of Treasure Box. They are newly formed but are looking like they are adopting a similar style as The Boyz. Something that I notice by this is that one of the factors why these groups aren’t as big as others is that they overlap in styles and genres, some of them lost members which made the groups get a negative backlash (for no reason because those people didn’t commit a real crime). But for groups like Younite and Cravity I feel like the main issue is the whole aftermath of the Produce series. The IZ*ONE girls were lucky enough to fully promote their 2,5 years together, while X1 disbanded after only 4 months. let me update you on their members and the status of their careers: Kim Yohan: WEI (not really doing well) Kim Wooseok: Solo (not well known, formerly UP10TION) Han Seungwoo: VICTON (disbanded) Cho Seungyoun: WOODZ (doing pretty well as a soloist, formerly UNIQ) Lee Hangyul: BAE173 (were on Peak Time) Cha Junho: Drippin (aren’t really known) Son Dongpyo: Mirae (disbanded, going solo) Kang Minhee: Cravity (on the show, but that isn’t a good thing) Lee Eunsang: Younite (on the show, but that isn’t a good thing) Song Hyeongjun: Cravity (on the show, but that isn’t a good thing) Nam Dohyon: BAE173 (left and is now indie) I get that you might be biased towards TNX, but I know you have a very critical view towards groups (which isn’t a bad thing) so you also can be honest whenever something either is amazing or just straight up bad (without insulting the groups, I’ve seen that somewhere else though. Guy said Cravity had “Nothing” after checking out 2 MV’s). Now, why I recommend you watching Peak Time. My reasonings for this are are as following The show has groups that you are aware of and unaware of, but there is no one that you are very invested in. This means you can watch the show and you can decide for yourself who you want to support by just watching their performances. Maybe you will find your new favorite group? Who knows. The performances on that show were actually so good, in the first episodes of that show I had seen a lot of performances that to me felt more captivating than the ones I see now on Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace There are more groups on that show (24) which you can choose your favorite from, they are classified as rookies groups, pause groups and restart groups (not sure if those are the real terms they used but they describe the key of this show). The show is evaluated by judges (Idols, producers, choreographers) as well as viewers votes. This means it isn’t only based on visuals or biases but also on real skill levels. It is hosted by Lee Seunggi who also was the trainee manager on LOUD, he is a really nice guy that actually cares for the guys like you saw on LOUD The vibe of the show isn’t really competitive but more like just having a big party with several groups just performing their asses off (they also all are supportive of other groups). But the judges can be pretty strict if they feel like it is needed (one of them got pretty angry at one groups performance and the next performance he was crying because he felt the emotion a bit too well) The development of the groups on the show is crazy good, from audition to first round is really different already They are singing live, and when I say live, i mean LIVE RTK is promoting the groups like “they are in the shadows of bigger groups” well these guys are in the basement then because I didn’t even know most of them (and let me tell you, I know a lot of groups) I can give you a million different reasons why you should watch that show. But you need to watch it yourself to fully understand why the show is that good. Also some of these groups are on such a show again called Re:Born which aired today for the first time. By the way, ATBO are both in Peak Time and in Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace so it doesn’t really matter if you want to see more of them (Rakwon was only in Peak Time though) Performances I would like you to check out if you decide to watch the other show are: Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace: Episode 1 ACE performances of TNX, Younite, TheCrewOne, 8TURN and ONEUS Episode 1 Group performances of TNX, Younite, TheCrewOne, 8TURN, ONEUS and Tempest Episode 2 Group performances Younite and TNX (not spoiling any songs) Peak Time Team 2 - No Mercy Team 7 - 여보세요 Team 8 - The Real Team 11 - Adore You Team 13 - Tiger Inside Team 14 - Never Ever Team 15 - 아름다워 Team 20 - Fever (JYP) Team 23 - 동방신기 Team 4: 승전가 (could work more on facial expressions though) Team 23 - 빛나리 Team 21 - Very Good You know what, this list would actually be way too long for the comments (this was only 2,5 episodes of performances BTW) I have genuinely never seen that much amazing performances on a show before. Also just noticed that the Peak Time Youtube channel has been rebranded for their new show “Project 7” which will have 200 trainees (some of them are from BAE173, Jingxiang, Yeojun and Seyun form Boys Planet) Coming back to the oversaturated argument in the upcoming months there will be the shows Universe League, Project 7, Starlight Boys, Planet B, Scool, Be My Boyz, Hip-Hop School and ID143 : My Favorite Debut. If we would count the participants on these shows, that would come down to potentially 500 - 700 new potential idols. of which probably 95% will never really make it far. It’s unfortunate but true. PD, I want to really point out that whatever we say to you or whatever you might think we like to see, it is still your patreon and you should do whatever feels right to you. This is only my opinion on these shows and how I perceive them. It is also my recommendation after being a survival show freak and K-POP lover for 4,5 years. See me as a consultant. I am just here to inform you, show you, advice you on anything that is happening in the scene these days and want you to make the best content you possibly can, which means also choosing the right content. So my advice is that it would maybe be better to watch Peak Time. But do what feels right to you

Sofia

pd i really hope if it's even doesn't win the poll, at least you'll watch the first episode and decide for yourself whether you should watch it or not

Sofia

only 2 episodes are out and performances already are 🔥🔥🔥

태양 김

I-land 2 나 빨리 리액션 해주소서 ^^

Liv

The conflict of getting great performances and these talented idols getting to show their potential vs … having to sit through Mnet editing and harsh awful lighting ☠️☠️ A DILEMMA

Marii

the thing is id much rather you just watch the performances rather than these episodes 🥲

Sven Lenders

The best thing yet to come out of this show for me is my re-introduction to Lee Eunsang, didn't think much of him before but the guy is crazy talented.

Christina M Villa

Have you considered The Second World. female rappers compete but with singing? Moonbyul, Mimi, MoonSua, etc.

ari

In my opinion, I think that you would enjoy NCT LASTART but it’s up to you 🤣

ThatPatreonThough

Call me bitter but seeing an overwhelming majoring voting FOR reacting to Road to Kingdom when Queendom Puzzle was a NO when it was polled doesn’t sit right with me.

ThatPatreonThough

MY SENTIMENTS EXACTLY! PD mentioned they’d maybe react to the ELZ7 UP member performances from QDP but that hasn’t happened yet.

Aine

Lots more BG group stans here than GG, I'm guessing 🤷🏻‍♀️ the majority of the "alternative" survival show suggestions under the more recent I-land 2 poll were for bg survivals too

ThatPatreonThough

Especially since the poll for QDP was AFTER it aired and we all saw the quality of performances and how fun it was to see the girls interacting. Any reason to vote against watching Queendom Puzzle is equally valid for not watching Road To Kingdom (and the main reason is MNET editing) and vice versa.

Aine

Yeah, like QDP is 'old' at this point so I get it, but I would be so happy if they'd even just react to all the performances instead of doing the whole show!

ThatPatreonThough

Yeah, I didn’t want to specifically mention that part but yeah the boy group stan majority stopping PD from watching things he’d actually enjoy is crazy. Cause us girl group stans know FOR A FACT that PD would enjoy QDP. The members that participated are all from groups PD likes. Even more reason to watch now that PD has fallen for tripleS, since Jiwoo and Seoyeon are on there too.

STRAY clowns

sigh im quite torn cuz its been a mess of mnet cruel set ups and editing. I've also seen ppl quite disappointed with the quality of performances so far but I personally think theyve been pretty good, I never expect much from the first episode 1 minute performance anyways. as much as I want you to react to more cravity cuz u loved them so much before, I agree with other comments and think it's best to just react to the performances

Serena

just watcged ep 1 and it was really cool !! i think u would really like it especially seeing the new six as full group again 😭🙏 if u decide against it i reaaallyy wanna reccomend peak time tho. its a unique show thats also not mnet and wasnt that stressful to watch. you also have the mlst amazing performances on there

laura

The editing is a mess but I do enjoy most of the performances so if you don't want to see the entire show I hope you can at least watch the stages!!

Rachael Tie

Honestly I was only watching for oneus but now I’ve seen tnx performances 👀
