Finally! I was waiting for this!

This was the last release of their Xperiment Project where they did three days of concerts (Closed Beta) and 1 Single release (open Beta) every month for 4 months. It's all leading up to an album release next month! There is a recording behind the scenes and there's also official live clips of the concert where they preformed this live with Yoon Do Hyun if you wanted to check them out :)

So I'm not too familiar with YB's music either (I only know a few of their hits) but I know that Yoon Do Hyun has been doing more screaming & growling at music festival and concerts. He also revealed that YB are gonna be releasing a metal album so I assume this is more of a new territory for their band. Also, Yoon Do Hyun has already performed this song with Xdinary Heroes! They recently had a concert where Yoon Do Hyun was a guest performer. I think they also may have performed YB's song peppermint candy together on stage. Yoon Do Hyun even suprised Xdinary by inviting them to be on the upcoming YB metal album in real time at said concert so I hope that's able to come to fruition!!!

I am so grateful for them doing this. Metal is a genre that isn’t really appreciated by people (I ain’t the biggest fan of it either) but the song captures the emotion of anger you need to keep in so well. To me it seems like XDINARY are playing the role of the everyday conversations people have with each other and the well decided responses people give in normal days of life. Yoon Dohyun on the contrary is the anger that is raging inside of people’s minds whenever people are talking sh*t about them or whenever people are downplaying you. Also, the video represents the emotion of anger so well when the cartoons appear. They are meant to be funny, but when you put badass music over it it looks like total chaos and destruction.

I'm definitely not a metal person lol but hell yeah they really did metal METAL and I loveee this song. It's actually insane that jype allowed them to do THIS. I absolutely loooveee this creative freedom for xdinary heroes even if they know that this type of song would not chart really well. Love how this Xperiment Project let them explore different sounds, concepts but still maintain their xdinary heroes sound. I think they really found themselves fully with this project.

Please give me more metal in Kpop! Xdinary Heroes was slow to catch my attention, but this was amazing! Alos, Yoon Do Hyun has touched on a lot of different genres of rock over his career and yes hes done a bit of english stuff. YB was included on Metallica's Blacklist tribute album where they covered Sad But True...and its amazing. If stuff like 'I Guess I Loved You', 'Peppermint Candy' and/or 'Flying Butterfly' is all youve heard from YB, I understand how shocking this is. Though, Ive listened to most of YB stuff and YDH screaming still shocked me. Its easy to see why the man is a legend.
