I clicked so fast!!! I was waiting for this 🥰 I love GGUM sooooo much!!! You’re right it is Yeonjun 100%!! It’s exactly what I expected and hoped from him! Cheeky lyrics with a playful but challenging dance! I’m extremely proud of him! He participated in all parts of this song from choreo, to lyrics, to the design- everything!! Again so so proud! You have to check out the studio choom and if you can I’m in love with the inkigayo stage performance! Music bank is also fantastic!! He also did music core and his last live stage will be m countdown this week. There’s also a dance practice and the mv recording behind. I’m sure we will also get a docu like episode about the creation of GGUM since they teased it earlier. All the members have been so supportive of Yeonjun and they have all done the dance challenge!! I could talk for hours about how much I love GGUM and how proud I am of Yeonjun 😍

It's insane how much I absolutely agree with everything you said, yj is the IT BOY for a reason and this was just SOOO UNAPOLOGETICALLY YEONJUN THAT IT WAS CRAZY HOW GOOD IT IS, its been almost a week and i still cant get enough of this song, the choreo is just out of this world and his performance and stage presence are unmatched, i reccomend you to watch the inkigayo live stage as well as the studio choom and dance practice!! So happy to see your reaction, i knew you would understand how good it is. He’s getting soooooo much hate on twitter right now over the song being “shit” the choreo being too “sexual” or “corny”… honestly it can be easy to get stuck in the cesspool of negativity that is twitter but when i step out of that bubble i realize that he is so respected by genuine artists. People had this weird d expectation that he’d have a taemin 2.0 concept and are now dragging him for going too outside the box, but real moas know the true Yeonjun-ness of this entire cb. I’m beyond proud of him, i know how long he’s been talking about wanting to do his own mixtape. And yes, he does the split in every live stage he did! You’ll never catch him not giving his 200% lol

THANK YOU PD!!! i just knew you would get it. ggum is ICONIC. i totally agree with you saying that everything about this just feels SO YEONJUN and he actually said that he thought of the gum concept one day while he was chewing gum in a car 😭 he was also part of the whole song and choreography process which i think plays into his unique presence being found in every single aspect of this release. everything about this is so freaking cool yeonjun is just the coolest person ever i really dont even know how to articulate any other thoughts. really hope you get to watch the dance practice and some of the music show appearances!! btw - theyre not actually marketing this as a "solo debut", all the music shows speak about a "special solo release" instead,,, interesting to think about how an official "debut" might be even bigger than this? also the mixtape might consist of this song only, there is a bit of confusion within the fandom bc bighit said that the "mixtape release" is going to be in october but we are not 100% sure if that mixtape includes other songs or if they just mean the physical release of ggum, i guess we will see

i’m so glad that you get just how unapologetically yeonjun this whole song/performance/debut is. there’s a lot of casual listeners or reactors seeing it and saying it’s so unexpected and they never saw this coming, but it’s bc they don’t actually know yeonjun or the other txt members personalities, they’ve just seen a couple mvs. this song is yeonjun to his core. he’s a cool, confident performer and this fits him so well! ❤️❤️ thank you for the reaction! also, i hope you can check out his OST for Cinderella 2am as well! it’s a great song and shows a totally different side of yeonjun and his vocal abilities!!

For those who were not around back then… this is how it felt like when TAEMIN made his solo debut. Obviously not sonically, but more in the way of what they are going for with YeonJun’s solo/career.

I saw this video and immediately had some thoughts. 1. This song is so different from what they normally do (which makes him stand out alone) 2. It kinda is and at the same time isn't what I had expected (but it is so good) 3. He looks a bit like Heeseung sometimes (which would be a sick collab for this song I feel like) Really solid debut for Yeonjun, if he keeps this up he can follow in JK's footsteps I feel like.
