It's a real shame about the MV, especially since the song is so good. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts about the re-edit version, for me I felt it improved the vision but continues to have the same fundamental problems you mentioned. I do hope they can recover from this as I really want this group to succeed as a fan of Limelight and Yeshiro. I hope you can also find the time at some point to go back and check out the Limelight stuff you missed, I'd love to see your reactions to that stuff too.

This 'redebut' was one of the most disappointing things to come out of kpop. Song was good but it was absolutely let down by questionable business decisions and heavy usage of AI, which was poorly timed as well with the current deepfake scandals in Korea atm. They rebranded Limelight for no reason IMO, and this redebut is every example of why I was against them adding new members. Was not worth separating Yeseo and Mashiro from Kep1er for this as well. Whoever is making the business decisions at 143 for Madein, they need to be stopped. Theyve ruined something so special with Limelight and the girls dont deserve it. This debut was lazy, low budget, questionably edited, and disrespectful to the members.

I think one of the major issues is they probably spent a bunch of money hiring a movie director instead of a team that has experience filming and producing music videos. John H Lee has worked on big Korean films such as 'A Moment to Remember' however the team he worked with is clearly inexperienced with MV production. I believe Megazone is a Cloud/AI company that probably forced them into shoehorning the AI in exchange for funding the MV. The natural version is better, but still has some of the issues you described here.

Here my rant train goes. To start of, the song is the only thing that does make me want to even watch this video. The rest is just straight up bad, not even amateuristic. It genuinely looks like the directors of the video bought SORA and thought "we now have to use it no matter what, and use it as much as possible". I don't remember a single thing from the whole video, that says enough on the AI stuff. It is just straight up sad that 143 pulled Mashiro and Yeseo (didn't even remember them being in this video) out of Kep1er for them to do this to them. Also disband Limelight for them to join this group and showing worse quality after making banging videos for them as Limelight. I really want to know if they would have dared to propose this to iKON, if they got this idea pitched to them (based on their concept, imagine BOBBY in a dress in a field of flowers LOL) I think they would have resigned from the company. No hate to the members, loved them as Limelight and Kep1er and the 2 new girls probably are fenominal as well, but this was not executed well by 143 Entertainment (also f*ck them for immediately after Boys Planet kicking out Daeul and Junseo)

The song is good... the album is already up there for album of tye year for me... they have a no skip album so far... the mv just lacked budget... hopefully alot of people give song a chance cuz its so good... and the members are talented...

They hired a new video production crew to do the video. it is not the same crew that did the Limelight videos.

i'm so pissed thinking about what could have been with this video. The song gives off such dreamy nostalgia vibes and it's been on repeat because it's so good, i hate how their redebut was tainted by the ugly ai and imovie transitions.

i definitely suggest watching the natural version if you listen to the mini. it's not... great? but it is leagues better than this. they invested too much into ai so there's still some ai visuals they couldn't scrape completely, but the girls themselves are untouched and i'm HOPING they got the message to leave ai out of the mvs unless they want a repeat of this backlash. i've been into kpop a decently long time now and seen a lot of bad mvs in my time, but they're mostly bad in an amateur sort of way. this is just bad. a total failure that doesn't even touch nugu mvs made with real human heart and soul.
