I probably hyped myself up too much for this group. I had been waiting for this group since late 2022 and when I watched this MV, I thought: “Cool! But… that’s it??” I was at first confused and I was not sure if I like the song, because to be fair as the only one song being released for their debut, it does not showcase their skills and what is their role in the group at all. It feels like a good b-side to something else. But although the song still has not started to grow on me, I have to say the problem I had was with the MV. There is NPOP performance video, which, although being only a performance video, sets the whole “meow/cats-vibe” way better and it does a big justice to the song! All in all I am glad people cannot hate on this group that “it is again the Teddy formula”, but I am sad that the group has a potential to be unique, but the song is just modern trap focused hip hop song, which you get these days in the modern scene of hip hop literally anywhere… And I was thinking that Teddy could bring “a 1TYM-like group” back to the current Kpop generation… 😅😅 Mind you, I am not completely delusional, there is a way how to make something like that work… for example Young Posse’s XXL or Ate That is a perfect example of what I hoped for (obviously only music-wise… I did not expect The Black Label to go for that crazy and unique visual concept Young Posse has). But don’t get me wrong. I am not hating on this group. It is just one song, so I am still open to what is yet to come. I just had hopes way too high, I guess. But I am still interested in this group!

Ngl I didn't like this song at first listen but the meoww part was so addicting..I kept on hearing it every now and then haha

I don't fully get the complaints and hate I see for this song, I understand not liking a song, all tastes differ, but to flat out say the song is "bad" in perplexing to me. I like the Baile / Brazilian Flunk influence, and the bounce is fat and I think that's what compels me to listen to this again. Now, this isn't the best thing since sliced bread but I think they went for something safe but with just a sprinkle of enough spice, I've never been one that can't deny a "simple" thing or concept but executed well. I do agree, I feel like this felt more like a pre-release. I think the member's aura is pretty strong with this alone so I'm excited to tune in to what they have in store. The execution is quite good, especially the delivery of the members.

WiseSmellyLegs

In my case the part of them “playing it safe” is so confusing. If you think about 2NE1’s Fire, BLACKPINK’s Boombayah, both are iconic debut songs, which did not hold back at all. And I am not saying I wanted the same music style for their debut. I was just expecting that this group would make a “statement” with their debut rather than playing it safe. I hope we get a new music soon, but the confusing thing is nothing has been announced and there would be nothing wrong (marketing-wise) if they said: “We have a debut plan, which will be taking place until the end of this year, starting with this pre-release”. I assume they decided to go for the “surprise effect” of not letting us know anything, but that is just a hope of mine rather than a fact and even if my hope is correct, it still feels kind of like “we don’t have any pre-debut material/content, so we have only this one song for who knows how long”

their performance video was so good! you really get a feel for their stage presence!

yuta

I love this song however i don’t think this music video did it justice

I really like their style of music, I saw that the track took a lot of inspiration from the “Sheesh” demo of Babymonster. The sheesh was first off meant to be pronounced like the meow is pronounced here. It is genuinely a very good song. 2 points of critique from my side, the “Meow” could have been more powerful in my opinion. The other point is that some shots look pretty damn expensive and others look a bit low budget. But over all a very good debut. These are the members by the way. Yeah, I just needed a quick fact about these girls, I could honestly not put "Fun fact: none" at some of them. They haven't been around for long so we will see more of their facts and skills in the future

Denise

Honestly the song is not bad but also not really good idk. But what I can say is that I was super confused about the concept 😂 Also the girls feel really talented. Maybe it's their charisma which makes me feel that way... Edit: I found out what I dont like about the song. It's the Meow Part in the Hook haha

WiseSmellyLegs

The thing with them and the concept is that they have charismatic and “serious” vibe (serious in the way as models have during doing catwalk, which makes sense since most (if not all) of them have had modeling activities). Even the trailers for each member and then the whole group felt in this way. But then we get this music video with this concept, where sure… they stick out as strong personalities, but at the same time don’t fully fit with the concept/MV in general. Also the bigfoot involvement/the whole idea is kind of out of nowhere and if they wanted to make a use of it properly, they should have gone way more for that “random incorporation”. The way they did it is just putting the scene there out of nowhere and that is it… But the more I watch the live performances of it, the more I am starting to think they could have made it work way better, so I don’t know… 😅😅 it feels as if it was done not by a mistake by intentionally, which is weird to do for a debut

Gabrielli

When I first heard it I didn't like it very much, I think the song manages to show a lot of each one individually but as a group I thought something was missing in the song. Even so I started to like the song more and more, especially the Brazilian funk beat at the end.
