Regarding your words about Asa… Although I still think Ahyeon has more of the “YG leader vibes”, I see your point! To me Asa feels kind of like TaeYang if Ahyeon was G-Dragon. Or… better comparison! Ahyeon is B.I and Asa is Bobby! Also… based on your words I have realized I now fully understand why Yang Hyun Suk wanted to exclude Asa from Baemon to debut her in the upcoming Japanese girl group. I mean… I would still keep her in my 5 members line up for Baemon (if I had to choose only 5…), but I have to admit that she would have been such a vital member and leader in the Japanese group!

I’m not sure if I personally feel that Asa is so much ahead of the other girls but no denying she’s a great performer. I think for me i’m impressed by all of them because yes they are rookies but also of how young they are still.

i think honestly, the only thing baemon is missing for me is a definitive sound/concept? i'm not saying they have to stick to the same sound or genre, and exploring is definitely good, but i think we can all agree that sheesh, forever, and like that are wildly different. on one hand, i like how versatile they are with pulling off different concepts, but on the other hand, i feel like in order for them to accumulate a solid fanbase, they need a prominent *IT* factor for people to associate them with. for example, when they release a song, people need to think, "ahh this is baby monster." instead of thinking, "ahh, this is a typical YG song." to further explain, a good example would be blackpink. blackpink may not be the best rappers or vocalists of their generation, but each song they release is curated for their image and their voice. it's hard to cover a blackpink song, and even the artists that do manage to do the song justice, never fully compare to the original. you could say the same for other artists but i feel like that's the case especially with blackpink because they're so DISTINCTIVE. i want the same with babymonster, for me to be like, "this is something ONLY baby monster could do, and they're the best at it." i understand it'll take time for that to happen, but i hope that time comes soon.
