regarding SLS. NASA and space industry is entering a new era. for 50 years, more of less, NASA and the other government agencies were the sole players. During that time, they developed the basic technologies and more importantly created the basic space market. No other entities could do that for 50 year with little of no return.

Now (last 10 years or so), private enterprise is entering a market area prepared by national programs. The fundamental role of the National Programs will need to shift in order to nurture and complement the private market. One unspoken problem is ownership rights. this si the kind of thin that led to conflict here on good old Earth. in 10 to 20 years this could become a serious issue. I guess we will deal with that whent he time comes.
