It started as I wanted to get some cash from an ATM on the 30th of May, but it refused my PIN, that I hadn’t forgotten, it was part of the card number and clearly readable on the card itself. So I tried another ATM and that said “your PIN is invalid now”. Yeah, thanks. A half hour later I requested a new bank card online. That took exactly two weeks, until I received a new one and a new PIN last Saturday.

Within that time my PC had lost interest and I had to order several new parts. I didn’t have much money on my account, couldn’t get any cash, had just enough left over to pay my rent, couldn’t fill my car’s tank or buy any foods. But had have enough on that account for a money transfer to purchase the PC stuff. Made a fast transfer, that costed extra fees. The company didn’t receive the money faster, so I got fooled by my bank and I doubt that they will pay me back the fees.

For not getting in trouble I sent another money transfer on Friday morning from my instant access savings account to the check account (same bank), but that money didn’t arrive before last Monday. That’s bad, because there wasn’t enough money left and on the 15th the health insurance gets the monthly contribution from this account. In other words, although I had sent enough money to the check account, I will fall to overdrawing and have to pay fees, even if it was overdrawn for minutes only. That's the way to make money nowadays.

I made an application for a new account at another bank and hope they will accept me as a new customer and they will not fool me like the old bank did. It’s not easy here to find a new bank, there is a big brother system watching and the more banks refuse me, the lower the chances are to get another bank at all, even the place of living is in that calculation and I don't live in any high class area currently. And with a low income you are not welcome anywhere here.

So the money for the PC stuff didn’t arrive on Friday, but on Monday, the stuff will be delivered on Wednesday or Thursday. I have an emergency 14’’ laptop, but so much trouble that I can’t work currently. This laptop is quite a pain to work with.

And within these two weeks I was interested in an offered room, but couldn’t drive to that place to see it, not enough fuel in my tank and no cash for any emergencies. You just got to have some cash in your pockets here, especially when you don’t have a credit card, like me. Last Sunday I made a three hour trip to see the offered room, that is still available, but haven’t made a decision yet. My car’s dash cam recorded 9 hours on that day, so it was a darn long day for me and I will probably take until tomorrow to recover from that exhaustion (remember, I’m not the youngest anymore).

So let me thank you all for your patience and the encouraging words you’ve sent me, you really are awesome. All of you. Thank you very much.

Big bear hug!

Please take good care of yourself and stay healthy!
