Hello, all you wonderful people!

We are here for another update on Simbro. Unlike other updates, this one doesn't contain an updated version of the alpha, more about that below.

As you can see, the background for the bar is complete! Mamacita did a great job, as always. She will be working on the alley next, and I can't wait to see what she comes up with.

Above, we also included a quick look at the new UI. We are stepping away from the phone UI and moving towards a more Sci-fi look. This is due to the previous artist ghosting us and us wanting more of the screen available for the UI. I love the new design, and I can't wait to show you more.

Our composer has given me the final version of the main theme! Not too much has changed, but it does sound crisper. The composer will now be working on the combat music. The literal idea is to match the main theme but be more... battle-y.

Now, about the alpha. As you can imagine, having the new UI creates some problems. Mainly, it doesn't link up to the old UI. Because of this, The alpha doesn't function properly. We could've released a new version, but with this being a step back in functionality, we decided to postpone it.

With the next update being postponed, I still want to give you folks an idea of what we've been working on. First, we've figured out instant parsing! This means that the dialogue text no longer speeds up when clicked. Instead, the text will instantly complete allowing the dialogue to be skipped more easily. Second, we have the virtual keyboard working for Android. You'll finally be able to change the name of your character! Last but not least, we have the first encounter with Julia done dialogue-wise. We still need to add the "naught" bits, but the hard work is done.

Lastly, with all the artists working away on new assets, I've had some time to dig into the old game's code. As you can imagine (and probably heard), the old game's code is a mess. Luckily, I've been able to find some interesting stuff. I have been looking through the slums code and have deciphered how many of those events trigger. This means we will have a more accurate recreation of the original. I've also been working on the combat animations for the male characters. Although the combat system isn't ready, I want to get ahead of the work so we can implement it faster.

I think that's about it for now. With the holidays coming up, I hope to finish more work and have at least a new WIP video ready for you next week. I also want to take the time to thank you for your support. I know this is a regular thing now, but I genuinely appreciate all of you. Your support allows us to make this game and build a great community. I hope everyone has a beautiful holiday, and I can't wait to bring you the next update.

Wow bar sure looks moody! Not the flashy one but hidden in half-shadow is kind of bar I like xD And neons fit too! They are bright but not too much, perfect spot! As for the menu... I will need to get used to it. I don't say it is bad, it looks cool, but I was sure it would be phone, I took it for granted, so I will wait for demo to see how it "feels". Lastly, kudos for instant text! :) Also I don't know if there will be later occasion for this sooo.... Merry Christmas to everyone! :D
