Hey.

Just a short notice about what is happening.

One would have thought that getting your hands on two 16GB sticks of DDR3 ram wouldn't have been this difficult. But apparently that is so "last tech"!?!? Three suppliers have failed to deliver although one supplier got me two sticks, that I had to RMA ... both of them!?!?

I've decided to dig a little deeper into my savings and do a complete upgrade of my render rig instead, so now I'm waiting for my new motherboard, i9-9900, and 64GB DDR4 ram to arrive. They were shipped yesterday, so they ought to land at my place tomorrow at the latest - under normal circumstances.

why intel! AMD ryzen much better and cheapper

Not everywhere is better and considering the whole system, even more expensive than intel.

I agree, a Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 could have helped with performance whilst saving some $$, which could be routed to the DDR4 RAM.

Never even thought about AMD. Looked it up and could have saved around 400$. The only drawback is, that I have zero knowledge about AMD processors. Looking back, I have always had Intell. Think I started out on a 386 DX2 ... if I remember correctly.

Gratz. Got my stuff but had to call in a friend to assemble it all. Tried lifting my trusted Trooper case, and that was just me being more stupid than usual. I should have known, that it would mess up my back. Lying in bed being doped isn't quite what I had in mind for May.

Aye, a lot has happened. Not all of it good ... in fact, little of it good, but it is moving in the right direction. A little too slow in my opinion, but life is moving in the right direction. About 0.7 I hope to be able to get back at it come this weekend. That should lead to a release sometime late next week - hopefully.

Not sure how others see it and if it can uplift your spirits but immersing in your world of mystic creatures, family and 'friendly' neighbourhood is a welcome respite from what's happening outside our world. It's NOT always about faps but the subtle humane interactions as well - esp. motherly Mary towards the MC.
