This month is off to a bad start already.
0.03 has proven to be a lot more buggy, than anticipated. Especially the long saving times and resulting crashes, have been a pain. It turns out, that it was linked to the music, that I added, so I have been forced to remove the music from the game.
The engine also proves to be a pain to work with, when it comes to complex choices and branching, and takes up too much of my time to make them happen. I have therefore decided to halt production of Sins of the father, until I have ported the whole project to a different engine, that better meets my needs.
When I say "halt production" I mean: stop release of the game. You will still be able to follow the progress of 0.04 and maybe even 0.05 (if it takes that long to port the game) on Patreon.
I will pause your payments for March, but that shouldn't change your access to whatever tier that you have made pledges for.
This is a pain, I know, but I hope that you can understand my reasons for making this change now instead of waiting until the game blows up in my face.
A new engine also means a new beginning, when it comes to playing. Sadly, but true, no saves will work with the new engine which will be saving to a file instead of to the registry.
Lastly, but not least, I have made a new version available to you all (0.03.2), if you want it. It can be found here where you can also check out the changelog and see if it is indeed something you would like to download.
