So I wanted to make something traditional as too much digital makes me depressed.
Routine is good, too much routine and it will feel like creativity is being drained so breaking it up with some traditional is good.

I sketched this digitally, made a mock up, transferred it to canson illustration board and layer a basic watercolour wash in the background and figure.
WOO that was a mistake, I did NOT like working on illustration board with oil/wax based pencils, they worked fine for watercolour pencils as I used the same board for the European Wildcat

I couldn't build the layers on it or detail well, which is so odd because strathmore toned tan paper I could build layers just fine and that is just paper. Even some pencils I used on strathmore toned tan paper were just NOT laying down on the Canson Illustration board, like one colour I used a lot on the jackal and lynx just was kinda scratchy and I know it's not that texture at all.

Next piece I'll use some hot press paper as I wanted to try more layers and keep the canson illustration board for watercolour pencils.
