So last weekend I thought I was having a ear infection but the next day my eye swelled up and I could not see well. I went the ER and got told I have shingles on the left side of my face.
It is extremely painful, it feels like I'm having a migraine all the time and was hit really hard in the face.

I'm on immune suppressants for crohns disease and despite I got the shingles vaccine it didn't prevent it. I understand I am a funky case.

I went to the eye doctor today and my eye is not infected but my eye lid is, right now I can open it a tiny, tiny amount. Swelling is really uncomfortable and I got told it will swell up more and last 2 weeks or longer.

I'm going to try to work, just I can't for very long. It's very straining to try to look at anything for long.
Updates maybe slow and I can't stream.

It's something I wish I didn't experience, I would just like my vision to being back to normal. Eye pain is definitely SOMETHING. :|

Take care of yourself first. I think people will understand!

Phantasmas35

Oh no. Rest and take care of yourself, hon. I hope the swelling goes down soon. :(

Me too, I'm hoping to get some painkillers soon. My specialist is on vacation till the 8th so I have to wait till what he says. Never realize how much you rely on your eyes.

Oh my word, I am so sorry to hear about this. :( Shingles is dreadful enough without it being on your face. Hopefully the doctor has you on antivirals?

I am, I started the antiviral within 72hr, it's definitely something. I'll be talking to my specialist tomorrow and hope maybe I can get some painkillers and nausea meds. This is really disorienting being in my face.
