This took me 3 nights to finish, didn't take me long at all.
Scan seems to have flushed out the yellows in the body, no idea why, will adjust further for printing but I'm happy enough with the scan.

So I sketched it out, then put in the cloud in white charcoal and blended it as that can give the cloud effect.
I'm happy with the details in the paws, normally my sketches look great for paws and then they get muddled when painting. I guess the bonus of pencils is precision.

I went and ordered more lightfast pencils as I've been using the little 12 pack quite frequently and a store had them for 45% off. If you haven't realize I'm like obsessive about cataloging art supplies, how much they cost, when they go on sale. Though after the ocelot I'm taking a break from toned tan paper, I'm kind of sick of it as I used this paper for like 10 years. It's sturdy paper just... I am colossally bored with it.

Supplies Used:
Derwent Drawing Pencils
Derwent Lightfast
White Charcoal
Strathmore Toned Tan Paper
Gamsol Odorless Mineral spirits

A great piece I love the running pose and the fur texture on this one a lot :D

thanks, the scan is a little more reddish than I wanted. Over all I am happy it didn't take me long and looks roughly how I wanted it to turn out. :D
