“But there’s just one thing,” Ada said while she sipped from her cup of coffee. “How exactly did you two meet?”

Randi smiled. “It’s a long story.”

“I have the time.”

Randi sat back in her seat, crossed her legs, and smirked. “He was actually the one that got me this body.”

The coffee shop was bustling with activity, but it wasn’t noisy enough to distract Ada from listening to her friend’s story. She couldn’t believe how much had changed. After going to South America for a church mission, Ada came home to discover a lot was different now.

Ada and Randy had been friends for a long time. They had gone through a lot together, and Ada had always been there for Randy, even when he decided to take an advanced form of gender swapping injections.

It wasn’t longer after than when Randy feminized his name. Now known as Randi, she finally felt like she was in the right body. And now, as Ada looked at Randi's wedding ring, she couldn't help but feel happy for her friend.

That very afternoon, Randi revealed that she was engaged too now, and Ada noticed that the wedding ring around her finger looked extremely expensive with its shimmering diamond. Randi told her that her husband had left his wife for her, and Ada's heart swelled with happiness for her friend.

Despite the controversy surrounding Randi's transition, Ada knew that Randi was finally happy and that was all that mattered. Ada was overjoyed to hear that her friend was planning to become a mother, and she knew that Randi would make a great parent. Even if she had her rough patches, Ada would always be there to support her friend through thick and thin.
