Moe wanted to cry as Cynthia brought over a bottle of painkillers. “Fuck this sucks,” he whispered while he sat at the kitchen table. “We seriously need to figure out how to switch back.” He tried to force himself not to cross his legs out of habit since he was afraid of shifting the menstrual pads. His biggest fear was getting blood all over the kitchen stool in front of his girlfriend. “Fucking hell…”

“You were having so much fun up until now,” Cynthia teased while she crossed her bulky arms. She leaned back in her chair and sighed. “It sucks, doesn’t it?”

“Shut up...”

“Yeah, I won’t lie, having to take breaks sucked last night. I think I might prefer my body’s orgasms.”

“Yeah, but I didn’t think periods were this bad.” After the two somehow swapped bodies during a car accident when they drove into a ditch, the two were still adjusting to their new lives. They’d given up trying to switch back through surgical means, especially when the doctors thought they were crazy. But that didn’t stop them from looking for alternatives. They had slammed their heads together, fallen asleep on top of each other, and even used their electric fence to electrocute each other. Nothing had worked. And as Moe’s cramps worsened, he had a horrible realization. His girlfriend didn’t seem as eager to switch back.

“I hope I’m wrong,” he whispered while he took his pain killers.
