Hi my friends. Could those of you who identify as nervous flyers, please send me your most common questions you would like to get answered around flying?

Basically, anything that would calm you down or anything you have a question about.

I won’t be answering everything here but your questions are really important for another project I’m working on.

Thank you everyone! 🙏💕

I've developed a fear of flying as I've grown having not taken a plane for a number of years. I found your videos through wanting to know more about airplanes (and now I'm hooked). A solid week of incident investigation videos later, ironically I've learned enough to be largely reassured. The main questions I still have are: what - if any - is the most "dangerous" phase of flight i.e. takeoff, cruise, landing? Are there some aircraft models that are safer/easier to safely fly than others? Is there an inherent greater risk to using low cost or smaller airlines? Why do airlines put so much emphasis on comfort, in flight entertainment, punctuality and experience when staying in the air is clearly much more important? (I'd take "no significant incidents in x amount of time" over "three inches more leg room" as a marketing tactic any day of the week!) You've answered all my other questions, so thank you.

I’m a much less nervous flyer than I used to be. Pilot training, aircraft design/safety features and usually reliable ATC have calmed my fears. As I see it now, the weakest links are fuelers and ground crew both of whom could make a mistake that would bring down an aircraft but I’m not sure how much skilled training they have. Also, my concern for dangerous goods in passenger checked luggage and carryon

Agreed! I never understood how much people bellyache about comfort in the cabin when shouldn't they be more worried about safety records and proper maintenance?
