Hi from the simulator! (Patreon)

Hi my friends and supporters! I am spending 5 days in our simulator centre in London this week, doing License Proficiency Checks (LPC’s) on a few of our pilots.

It’s always an interesting experience to see how different pilots solve the issues we throw at them. In this LPC period the pilots get to demonstrate their handling of a rapid depressurization of the cabin followed by an emergency descent, engine failures, APU fires and a lot of other little problems.

The simulator sessions are 5h long with a 1h briefing before and a 30 min debriefing after so they can be quite demanding on the pilots.

This evening I will start briefing at 20:30 local time and probably won’t be done until around 03:30 😬

Anyway, I just wanted to share a bit of an update with you and I hope you are all doing absolutely fantastic! I am working on several new videos as I’m sitting here in the hotel-room so I’m trying to make the most of my time.

Next week, me and my family will travel to Dubai for a week of vacation which I’m really looking forward to!
