Hi my friends!

Thank you for your help with yesterdays release of the "Aircraft Hacked" episode. It was much appreciated.

I put together this update in order to explain the recent Boeing and FAA updates on the 737MAX after the fatal LionAir accident last month. There is still a lot of thing we dont know and understand but with the Boeing Bulletin and the FAA Emergency Airworthiness Directive that were issued last week we are starting to get a better picture.

Please look through the video and let me know if you find something factually incorrect or sensitive in the video. As always, I really value your input.

Have a great weekend!

During the last week the FAA have published and Emergency Airworthiness directive regarding the Boeing 737MAX and how to handle it in case of a failure of its Angle Of Attack sensor (Alpha Vane). Boeing has also issued Bulletins to all 737MAX and 737NG operators regarding the "Manoeuvring Characteristics Management System (MCAS). In This video I will be trying to explain how all of these systems fit together and Why this is such an important thing for pilots to know and understand. A very informative video, thanks. I'm intrigued as to how Boeing decides the content for difference training as the 737 family specifically has had a disaster that was linked back to difference training before (British Midland Flight 92). I realise that the point of keeping the type rating the same is to reduce cost, but it would be good to see efforts being made to ensure the difference training is as comprehensive as possible.

Very good. Just sticking to the facts and explaining what they mean. Useful links in the video description. Great way to go.
