Hello Petter. I was the first officer and pilot flying on a 737-200 (yeah, one of those) in the 1980s flying out of Kamloops, Canada (YKA). At V2 the side at the end of the runway erupted with a massive amount of sea gulls. Same sort of story...both engines hit. The vibration of the entire aircraft was unbelievable to the point that we both thought that we were going to have an in inflight breakup. Unable to make out the engine instruments, the old steam gage types. And the noise. It was deafening. Debriefing after the event we suggested that the severe vibration and noise should be incorporated in sim training. Never heard back. I think that the sims of the day were just not capable of reproducing it. If you want more details let me know via email.
