Sherlock Holmes Behind the Scenes, pt. 7 (Patreon)
Content
Sorry, forgot to post this last night. :)
Kathy left me the big bubble o' technobabble to fill in, though I was helped by a couple of the CTC regulars.
Another bit that got left on the proverbial cutting room floor: Originally Mycroft was supposed to be played by Swampy, with a pillow stuffed up under his shirt. :)
Dialogue:
Mary Morstan, looking concerned: John--are you all right? You seem--different.
Watson, looking out window, back to her: Oh, I'm just distracted. It's this case of Holmes'. It has me on edge.
Mary: Howso?
Watson: Something doesn't seem right. Holmes isn't--
Holmes (entering): Excuse us, Miss Morstan, but Watson--I need you to accompany me to Brother Mycroft's club. I have a cab outside.
Narration: Shortly--
Holmes (putting finger to his lips) : Remember, Watson--not a word when we enter Mycroft's club!
Watson: Why is that, Holmes?
Holmes (looking in over double door at Mycroft shooting pool, and whispering): Because speaking distracts the shooter.
Narration: Soon, in the "Strangers' Gallery" of Mycroft's club--
Holmes: Mycroft, I need your advice. What do you know about atomic theory?
Mycroft: (large box of pseudo-scientific babble about atomic theory.)
Holmes: Sounds elementary.
Version 2:
Narration: Soon, in the "Strangers' Gallery" of Mycroft's club--
Holmes: Mycroft, I need your advice. What do you know about atomic theory?
Mycroft: ...Whut?
Holmes:(large box of pseudo-scientific babble about atomic theory.)
Mycroft: Sounds elementary.
(If we go with Version 2, we can't do the "I thought he was the smarter brother" gag.)
