I've been promising you ladies and gents some 'behind the scenes' videos on the making of TWB, for... well, several years now. :) I had the tripod arrangement and camera out for a shop video earlier this week, so I set it up and recorded sketching a customer "Fanboy" book.

The pose is one of my favorites for this run, and several of you got a variant of it- Miki was  basically the most requested character this year.

Unfortunately, for an ad-hoc setup, the camera and mount was kind of in my way, and made my drawing angle a bit awkward. So the sketch came out maybe a little rougher than usual. I'll work on getting something more suitable set up so I can draw a little more comfortably, and get to work on a set of proper "this is how I draw the comic" videos.

The Whiteboard: How To Draw Miki!

The first of our "How to draw TWB!" videos, which I've been promising my readers for... several years now. :) The camera angle and mount made my drawing position a tad awkward, so this is maybe a little rougher than usual, but it gives you a good idea of my basic process. Before too long, I hope to have a proper series on drawing an actual strip.

You know, I've been pronouncing her name 'Mickey' since she first appeared. Is that correct?

Short girl with a big rack, always requested, lol

Technically, her first name is Mikittok ("mick-KIT-tock", Inuit for 'small') so an 'authentic' shortening (heh :D ) would be either Mik ("Mick") or Mikit ("Mikkit"). 'Miki' ("Mickey", as you note) is perfectly acceptable.

I love the disapproving look and the baseball bat. No trouble in Cara's this morning!

A personal question: when do you sleep!

I was sort of expecting a NSFW alternate post to the current Miki arc.... I mean, getting out of bed, getting dressed, etc., would seem to lend itself to something....

Unrelated, but I think my email reply regarding an order got lost again. Is there any other way to contact you?
