First off, I hope all of you have had a Merry Christmas (or whatever flavor of solstice-ish celebrations you, er, celebrate) and of course a very Happy New Year!

I appreciate your patience in my week-plus off, I sorely needed those particular batteries recharged. And, I was able to focus on a fairly tricky project that really kind of needed all my clock cycles for a few days. It didn't work out quite perfectly, and there were definitely a few missteps along the way, but the end result is within acceptable tolerances. And gets me much, much closer to the end of a pretty major rebuild, that started over seven years ago, and has so far cost me north of ten thousand dollars. (Or roughly four or five times more than I'd hoped.)

And is probably around Reason #2,495 that Doc Is Not Rich And Successful. :D

I know at least four of you are still waiting on books, at least from pre-Christmas orders, and I have to apologize, although this time it wasn't entirely my fault. :D This run has been something of a comedy or errors, and I wound up having to re-print  a fair number of books. I was already probably a bit light on materials for a book launch, but the extras caused me to run out of materials- not once, but twice. The first time my order came through even faster than expected, but this last one, ordered around the 15th or so, as I recall... arrived Saturday.

All the outstanding orders should go out Monday, the 4th.

And, as I mentioned earlier, if you wound up with a misprint of some kind, your book got damaged in transit, you didn't get the sketches you asked for, whatever, drop me a line and I'll be happy to replace it, no charge.

Here's hoping that '21 will be a damn sight better than last year. I know I'm going to be doing my damndest to make it so, at least my little corner of it, and I hope you all stick around for the ride. :)

Doc.

I'm looking at the sketch, and imagining Doc using the mallet as a croquet mallet, and Packrat as the ball...

Doc, you’re a far more patient man than I. I’d of packed that lathe full of something explodey awhile ago and lit the sucker.

I'd say my 20 book delivery just after Christmas helped me survive the holidays without withdrawal symptons of no WB strips in that timespane XD

Well, 'successful' comes in many flavors. Respect and admiration should be part of that, and you have a fair bit of those! Here's hoping that the printing/publishing issues settle down and other things go better as well.

Just saw today's comic a little while ago. Pirta really is mad at those guys.
