I find this so absolutely beautiful... it reminds me in a lot of ways of the opening underwater sequences from Disney's The Little Mermaid. So much depth and activity all in this one scene. Plus, the sight of the giant scyllia's tentacles spilling out of her hiding space - much like a real octopus would - has such a living, organic feel to it. I really love how this is looking and am excited to see the finished piece!

Now I'm getting an image in my mind of some underwater explorers trying to hide from something giant, finding a small cave, thinking they would be safe, and then SHE pops out from further inside the cave!

As I suspected with the black-and-white version: this already looks amazing with some colors added in. Loving all the little details (as usual with your pieces), and all the varied and fascinating underwater creatures and peoples in attendance. And of course, Shallon looks just so adorably, irresistibly squishy. ;3
