We're back ! (Patreon)

Well the review is over and my page is back :)

It's a huge relief, although that whole episode leaves a bad taste in the mouth ..

there are a lot of pictures I had to remove from my gallery, and among them, many that could probably stays, but that I removed regardless - just to be safe - as no pictures in particular were pointed by the T&S and I had to guess them myself. This is NOT a good feeling... I suspect quite a lot of them could have been saved with some small tweaks as well .

And sadly they're not going to come back :/ .. After I was done, the T&S made it clear I can't re-upload any of the content I removed on my gallery and I'm guessing this includes tweaked out versions as well...

Although it was very unclear in the beginning, Patreon's problem with vore is basically the prey getting overpowered against their will in a "sexual" context. ( I put the " " here because what is considered sexual or not by Patreon remains very vague to me. And yet it's important since their board said such a situation in a non-sexual context would be fine. )

Now to be out of line, the scene has to be pretty explicit I think, with the prey clearly showing distress ( looking terrified or shouting "No!" for example ) , and then their effort getting crushed and them getting eaten regardless.

If the prey looks simply shocked as they are eaten it's mostly ok. I also found out from others artists that text is something Patreon looks closely at in those cases. There are plenty of my pictures that could have gotten away with me just removing some text bubbles. I think.

Besides that, the little drawing of Crisis in my front page had to go as well ( no naughty bits showing but still considered nude and visible by the public. Ok fair enough for this one.

So yeah... harsh lessons learned here and some things are going to have to change in the future.

There is no way I can put my all eggs in the Patreon basket anymore. Sure after that great purge, my page is fine for now, but what if rules get stricter in the future? or if they stay the same but are interpreted differently? Because in the end that particular TOS line is vague enough that it all comes down to interpretation. Who know what it will be in one-two years from now? I don't know, but I have this nagging suspicion it will get only worse for every adult content artists out there.

Plus the way Patreon can pull the plug at a moment notice, without any prior warnings whatsoever is especially scary : / that's too much power for a company to have over me. I just was too naive to notice it until now I guess.

So yeah , I'm going to seriously look for alternatives or Plan B from now on and do some much-needed thinking on the model I'm using moving forward

In the meantime though I'm happy to have my page back and to share with you what I have been up to ^^ ( the 8 next Elorie pages are almost done as well ! )
