i have an idea maybe he is just a normal delivery man and he stumbles into something he wasn't supposed to see thus he is captured begs for his life and is recruited against his will and sent on missions as a goon they expect nothing from and will probably get shot

Not necessarily. What if he stumbles into a big mission and ends up tagging along until the end of it, or at least almost the end, when he makes his escape for his life.
