Our Magic Item Cards are objects in our world, usually accompanying the series we tackle that month. The item might help you visualize the world and its creations better: add items for effects on your players, add them to your treasure box for flavor, or use them as a quest item.

Darkclad Crystal

Consumable | Uncommon | Requires No Attunement

Sourced from the deepest, shadow-filled caverns, this crystal pulsates with mystical, cold energy. When infused into a regular weapon, it transforms the item into a conduit of dark power.

Dark Energy Infusion. You can use an Action to infuse this crystal’s energy into a weapon of your choice, permanently granting it the Darkclad title (e.g., Darkclad Longbow). This process turns the weapon into a magic item of uncommon rarity that requires attunement. The Darkclad weapon grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls and deals an extra 1d4 cold damage on a hit. With its energy expended, the crystal loses its magical properties and becomes a mundane stone.



Darknight Cloak

Wondrous Item | Rare | Requires Attunement

Woven from the shadows of an ancient, forgotten civilization, this cloak melds with darkness, making its wearer nearly invisible in dim light. Its fabric moves like a silent shadow, aiding in stealth and deception.

Glide of Night. In dim light or darkness, the cloak allows you to glide across the ground when moving, starting and ending your movement on solid footing. This does not grant flight or elevation.

Shadow Blend. While wearing this cloak, you have Advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks.


Nightshade Tiara

Wondrous Item (Headgear) | Rare | Requires Attunement

This tiara, adorned with dark gems and intricate filigree, was once the crown of a ruler who walked the line between shadow and light. It holds the power to shield those under its wearer's care.

Charge. This magical item has 3 charges and regains all expended charges after the passing of each night.

Nightshade’s Blessing. You can use an Action to expend a charge to bestow the Nightshade’s Blessing upon friendly creatures within 30 feet. For 10 minutes, affected creatures gain resistance to cold, psychic, necrotic, and poison damage and are granted Darkvision, seeing through the darkness as though it were light.

Na’Ava Blackblade

Martial Weapon (Greatsword) | Legendary | Requires Attunement

Forged in shadows and imbued with the essence of an ancient hero, the Na’Aki Blackblade is a weapon of formidable power cloaked in legend and darkness.
You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
Dark Edge. Drawing its power from a forgotten realm steeped in shadows, each attack with the Blackblade unleashes a surge of darkness, dealing an extra 1d6 cold damage.
Charge. This magical weapon has 3 charges and regains all expended charges after the passing of each night.

Black Crescent. You can use an Action to expend a charge and release powerful black energy in a 60-foot line. Creatures within range must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw or take 36 (6d10 + 3) cold damage, or half as much on a successful save.
