Each month, we’ll revisit a (Patron-voted) old series of choice to make a brand new sequel for it. This month it’s time for icy walls with Wintertide Stronghold’s three-part continuation.

Here’s the fifth part.

Wintery flakes of snow fall down on cold plateaus of ice and frost. The crux leading up to the stronghold’s backdoor harbor is riddled with shards and parts of treacherous, unfrozen waters. A dip in there will likely inflict more than frostbite or a frozen toe or two. Not to speak of legends that say these seas used to have a monstrous ruler, said to now lie slumber underneath thick sheets of ice.
Two towers are on each side, and within the middle, a gate leads inside the stronghold. Each tower has two guards on standby, and each day at dusk, the guards are switched for new ones, ending their watch with a final round around the harbor area before heading inside the middle gate. There is an exact minute and twenty-two seconds during the switch that they’re most vulnerable to a surprise strike or sneak! If you want to find the prisoners inside, this may be the only opportune time to get inside without sounding the alarms. But be careful, as one misstep may have guards flock in from all directions, leaving you stranded between a tall stone wall and a partially frozen sea.

~ We’re hoping you enjoy these maps as much as we like making them. Stay tuned for another map next month!
