Each month, we’ll revisit a (Patron-voted) old series of choice to make a brand new sequel for it. This month it’s time for dark and sinister with the River Styx’s two-part continuation.

Here’s the first part.

Green hues, lit from the surrounding luminescent pillars, light up the setting ever so slightly. Chains hang far above and make a repetitive, clattering noise, as if on beat. The atmosphere feels heavy, as if you’re being drowned by the river beneath your small, traveler’s boat, and lured into a den of death and misery.

Whispers of voices unknown originate from the river, that flows… but at standstill. They beguile you to safe them from their suffering, as if you reaching out could save them. It’s a strange place you’re in, with little to make sense of.

Yet you here you sit, in your boat, with nowhere to go but forward… awaiting your destiny.
