Our Item Cards are objects you can find in our world, usually accompanying the series we tackle that month. This might help you visualize the world and its creations better: add items for effects on your players, simply add them to your treasure box for flavor or use them as a quest item.

We held a poll earlier this month in which we asked all of you guys to tell us what sort of Items you would like to see for The Blue Desert. There might’ve been some miscommunication because we meant literal Items for Item Cards—instead, the suggestions were for cool items/subjects to put in the battlemap. So there’s no winning vote this month. :(

• Royal Scimitar: Made entirely out of gold and decorated with intricate blue details to worship the sand gods, this golden Scimitar is one of the finest products found in the Grand Desert. Although its battle prowess is nothing to scoff at, it primarily decorates the hips of nobility who more than willingly love to show off their splendor and wealth.
• Eye of Truth: Coated in luxurious gold, the Eye of Truth can help you see the truth of things. Whether the truth lies in words or sight, the Eye mirrors its real essence as its sole plight.
• Shisha of Dreams: You, or a willing creature that inhales the smoke, enters a trance dreamstate. While in the trance, the dreamer is aware of his or her surroundings, but can't take actions or move. If you induced someone willingly, you can appear in the target's dreams and can converse and influence their dream as long as they remain under influence through the duration of the spell.

• Deck of Illusions 2.0: Handmade by the illusionist Azin as a variation on the Deck of Illusions. The magic is subtle, but the illusions crafted through random draws of this deck makes the impossible seem real. In this variation, drawing more than one card at a time can either put you in a state of confusion or magnify the illusionary work to better dazzle the senses, befuddle the mind, and trick even the wisest folk.
