Don't you see how much your girlfriend loves you, Kelli?  She even bought this lovely cane, just for you.

The high-resolution version of this piece is now uploaded to behindandysdames.com.

The original art for this is available for sale here: andysdames.bigcartel.com

What with Mona’s attention last time, and Maisey’s this time, Kelli just can’t catch a break…or perhaps she’s catching them beaucoup? This piece gives new meaning to the phrase “I’m going to put you over my knee and…”

Looks like Kelli is in for some nice stripes! The first thing that came to mind when I saw this was the 70s bondage flicks on Super-8 that came up in discussion here a while ago. Because they didn't have sound, the girls relied on wild-eyed looks of terror and fearful anticipation to sell the scenes, much like we see on Kelli's face here. While it's not uncommon for you to use that kind of facial expression for exactly the same reason, there's something about this scene, between Kelli's hairstyle, her boots, the gear she's bound with and even Maisey's dress and boots, that is particularly evocative of that era.

I really love how the view angle makes Maisey tower over Kelli, her shadow even falling across Kelli and throwing her into partial darkness, making Kelli look especially small, helpless and vulnerable. The horizontal line of Maisey's thighs appropriately provides stability, while the action line of Kelli's body teeters across them. The line of Maisey's upper body and the cane lean in the same direction, visually pushing Kelli even further over Maisey's thighs, but then brought up short by the opposite diagonal of the chain link on Kelli's collar and Maisey's hand holding it, supported by the line of Maisey's boot from below, and even the chair leans in that direction to provide counterbalance, but with tension between the two sets of diagonals that really sells Maisey holding Kelli up by her collar when she would otherwise slip off, which only adds to Kelli's vulnerability. I didn't intend on writing the second paragraph when I came here, but then my brain went "What would Severian say?" and it all came out! LOL.

I thought I had posted this last night, but somehow Patreon ate the whole comment, so I had to recreate it from memory just now. Doh! Now Patreon just ate it again! I had wisely saved it somewhere else this time. Maybe a hidden character limit on posts? I split it up into several this time, let's see if it sticks.

Interesting! I do remember the “overacting” in those 70s films, which actually added to the appeal of a lot of them. Good analysis of the composition here, Capt’n, in how it completely drives home Maisey’s dominance and control of Kelli, both visually and psychologically. I think the hog-tie element in Kelli’s situation further reinforces her helplessness and vulnerability, as well as strongly increasing the tension in her bent back body nicely…stripes indeed!

Well, I've always wanted the "dames" to look a bit anachronistic, so that sounds like a good thing to me! Meanwhile, sorry you had the posting troubles, but I appreciate the feedback.

Yeah, whatever she's getting from these girls, I have no doubt that she's earned it.

Capt'n Frydog

Not your fault, but something I'll keep in mind for the future, for sure!

LOL it just occurred to me that the "anachronistic look" you like for the Dames probably has a as much to do with the era of the good muscle-cars you like as anything else. There's a lot to be said for both cars and women's styles of that era, I can relate 😏
