Outstanding energy throughout the figure, a writhing whirlwind from top to bottom, one might say. Her feet, hand and face are particularly expressive. The implied curved line of the tree trunk on the left down through the phones, sign, and and around her feet back up through the other phone and through Merlin up to her hair really mirrors her struggles, as if waves of energy are coming off her figure into the surrounding space…a nicely handled composition. The telltale detail present on the block indicates she ihappy as well…public bondage, who knew? Plus, if she does slip off the block, I’ll wager there will be many folks quite ready to help her up… Fun way to end the year…Happy 2022!

And a happy 2022 to you as well! Glad you liked this one. I did indeed try a somewhat different approach to the composition from Millie's last encounter with Merlin. I was going for slightly higher-key lighting, with the intent to group the supporting elements together in a narrower range of values, in the hopes that Millie with her dark hair would stand out from everything else going on.
