Now there’s quite a perky, well wrapped package! Love the festive expression on “Vixen’s” face, which strongly sets the tone for a great holiday piece. Great job on her cast shadow fading toward the tree, and the white line/negative space between the tree and her hair works brilliantly. And if this presentation slows Santa down on his rounds that’s just the way the cookie crumbles. At any rate, no sense crying over spilled milk this late in the game, eh? A lovely, playful piece, for sure!

Thanks! I’m actually quite pleased with how this one turned out, too. Particularly her face and expression, and the “high key” values that I think work well for the theme.

I agree on the values as well. Also, I like the controls slyly “hidden” in the cast shadow…”good vibrations” on many levels in this piece.
