True story: Betamax lost the home video tape wars b/c the license fees made publishing porn on it prohibitively expensive, while you could publish on VHS license-free, and porn wound up being a major driver of player sales. Now if I could just find my "The More You Know" banner...

You can tell the actresses was trying not to giggle all the time & perhaps they are overacting a bit (perhaps that is why many of those videos only has a music audio track), but its still better than the modern videos where the lack of imagination is so big that you can ask why they didnt just tie up a mannequin or dead fish or does some extreme bdsm for the sake of being extreme.

True indeed! All that seems so long ago now. I remember with amusement the tiny beta shelf in the adult section of my local independent video store (another relic) back then. As implied in the comments here, it indeed was another time.
