All right, the latest Dee painting has been uploaded to behindandysdames.com.  It's acrylic on 11" x 14" illustration board, Ebay item # 282744610177.

There's an effective balance between Dee and the stool that creates a nice visual tension. To English language readers, used to reading left to right, top to bottom, the stool can be perceived as falling down to the lower right, almost sliding off the board. Dee's figure, however, is holding it back from doing so, especially in how her upper body is turned up and back the other way as she looks back over her right shoulder, leading the eye away from the lower right corner. There's a "rule" that says don't position things so they appear to fall off the lower right corner. In other words, nice job in breaking that rule and making it work for you, in the process adding tension (and a bit of erotic interest) as Dee looks back to whoever is out of the frame and possibly responsible for her situation?

I was indeed trying to make a sort of intentionally unbalanced composition with this one, and I was thinking that the direction of Dee's eyes would make it come together. It sounds like hopefully it worked!
