Painting Portland (Patreon)
Content
For many years, Portland was my home away from home. It seemed like I was visiting every other year for awhile. Let's explore a collection of experiences, including my own!
The first painting above, was a self painting that I only had about 30 minutes to work on. It was right after I finished painting Marty (who wanted to be painted for the World Naked Bike Ride).
Because he personally flew me out, I tried to make it extra special, including elements native to Portland or things that he might enjoy.
Marty has been in a wheel chair since his childhood, so it was a unique painting to navigate. He rented a special bike for the experience, that was pedaled with his hands.
Pretty cool bike right? Now just imagine him with this on:
What a fun group of friends!
This was us just before the ride! Imagine a tall, lanky Brandon, flopping around on a bike! That was my evening! We also had a fantastic time on the boat with friends.
I look majestic from the rear!
Honestly I really like Portland a lot, and always dreamed of moving there. Or Seattle! Either would be fun I think, but I really miss the people. <3
I thought I had painted Preston on this trip, but it was actually Claire this time:
Photographed by Bill Berk, Claire Amadea is actually ALSO a super talented body painter. Let me show you some of her art: Claire Amadea
This is what I painted on her:
Maybe I should work with silks more? They are really pretty to photograph!
Thank you for sharing this journey with me. I've painted other amazing people in Portland, but we'll share more of them later. Love ya!
