The Empress - DEBUT (Patreon)

Featuring Alexis, I'm happy to share The Empress!  An eccentric mix of body art, makeup, three dimensional structure, and fierce attitude.  This is the green to the Emperor's red, and I'm super happy with how this came together. 

Alexis struggled with a lot of confidence issues before this painting. I do my best to bring the best out in everyone, and we really connected during the session. Shared quite a bit with each other, and made some good art, even when I wasn't feeling 100%.

I've been trying to work through a lot of heavy depression, mainly centered around my family, and that has been crippling my production. Based on the conversations I've had with close friends, many have concluded my mother has been using me for years. A cycle of abuse that I didn't really understand/recognize. I didn't have the language for it.

I've been processing that information, and trying to figure out what the path forward is.

She went missing for months (filed a police report), and it ended with her being discovered when she needed to borrow money again. Surprise, nobody knows where she's at again.

Anyway. Just wanted to say, thank you for your patience and understanding. I hope you enjoy the new art. I have a bunch of new projects I'm editing right now, but this one was really important to share first.

It symbolizes for me, getting back in touch with what is important, and creating life from that.
