Advice for ABDL newcomers (Patreon)
Content
This is a post for people who are new to ABDL, curious and trying new things. If you are an experienced ABDL person you can also give some advice in the comments! I know my audience is a mix of people who are new to ABDL and who are very experienced, so seeing comments from both would be nice :)
1. Go slow - Remember that it's not a race, and that you don't have to try everything. You can start slow by wetting your pants before going for diapers. You can try to wear a diaper for one day before trying to go a whole week.
2. Learn to press pause - sometimes people who enjoy ABDL or kinky lifestyles have cycles of binging and purging. This means they go really deep into ABDL activities, then feel some shame and throw away all their ABDL things. If you start to feel unsure of what you're doing, just put your ABDL things in a box for later. Think of it as taking a break or pressing pause. It's ok to take a break from any hobby.
3. Do your research before trying something new - If you want to try new things like wear diapers, wet the bed, or use suppositories do your research first. Make sure you know how to avoid diaper rashes, how to keep your body healthy, and how to get good rubber sheets! It's better to have a lot of information than not enough!
4. Don't be afraid to join ABDL communities - There are lots of nice online forums for ABDL lovers, wetting, watersports and omorashi lovers. There are websites dedicated to all these things, and there are groups on Fetlife for this. Tumblr also has some blogs related to ABDL and wetting. If you are new to this and think you're alone in your love for ABDL, trust me you're not! Do some googling and you will find a community of other people to talk to. Others can give suggestions, share fantasies and tell you which products they like best for ABDL things.
5. Make some time for ABDL / wetting- If this is something you live, make some time for it each week (or month) to really get into the headspace and enjoy it. You will know better than anyone when is best, and how is best. Don't be afraid to explore new things on your ABDL journey, and don't be afraid if you find out there are some things you don't like.
