Deity Project: Demi God Madam Foxglove

Chosen Champion of The God of Knowledge

“You’d best behave or Madam Foxglove will pay a visit!” Or lines similar are often spoken to naughty children by parents and irritated siblings in regards to the elusive Madam Foxglove, The Supposed Witch of Wheelton.

With extensive knowledge in alchemy and botany, she is both feared and respected among her peers. It is often said that if you desperately need to find her, you are either on death’s door or you wish to kick someone through it.

Madam Foxglove has won four trials for the God of Knowledge. Her most well known trial was to drink from a set of chalices, many of which were poisoned in a battle of wits against two other champions. Most notably, she identified each cup’s poison and brewed an antidote for the other champions when they chose the wrong chalice.

In her spare time, she has set up a quiet academy in Wheelton in an effort to teach the populace more about the importance of botany and alchemy. Whilst the people of Wheelton are too scared to approach, scholars from far and wide often come to learn more from her. Many often fail her practical exams and are in need of urgent medical attention.

She occasionally humors herself by leave a floating flower by a bickering family’s home’s window, scraping the glass with her nails as she walks by. A child will scream, no doubt their heads filled with tales of the wicked witch coming to steal them away.

“If they choose to see me as a fearsome wicked witch, it does me no harm to have some fun and give them something to talk about every once in a while.”
