Dev update #152 (Patreon)

Hi!
I'm close to wrapping up the rendering of still images—about another week should do it. Once that's done, I'll shift my focus to animations. Just a reminder, as I've mentioned before, there won't be a significant speed improvement with the animations since I use cloud rendering, so the recent upgrades to my PC won’t affect this part much.

I ran into a bit of a snag yesterday when the power went out. After the blackout, my PC refused to boot up, showing only the dreaded black screen of death. None of the usual fixes, including attempting a Windows reinstall, seemed to work. It was quite the scare, almost leading me to send the PC back for repairs. Fortunately, the issue was resolved by disconnecting the power supply unit directly from the PC, not just the outlet. I suspect it might have been caused by a Windows 11 feature designed to speed up boot times. Weird, but thankfully resolved!

On a brighter note, I’ve started the initial steps to set up my new office. It’s still very much a work in progress and will take some time and investment to get it just right, but I'm excited about the prospect of working in a new, comfortable space soon. This may slow my progress a bit while renovations are ongoing, so thanks for bearing with me.
