Last Legend:
The Easter Eggs guide for Last Legend is now up on discord: discord.gg/CVhjBxr (under the game's section, there's a channel devoted to it) It's about 8k of hints/cheats, plus an index. I've added powerups, hotkeys, and a few other things since last release- but those will wait a few months, until I have time to add progress graphics for the Blackbelt and Thief classes.

HardLife:
For those not following the progress on discord: discord.gg/CVhjBxr , I wanted to announce we've begun adding Layered Graphics to the game. It's still an early prototype, but we have Skin & Eyes and a background-generator working. I want to add basic Hair for now (a generic male and female style, to start with), and finish the betting system, then I'll push out a full release on the public and supporter channels a bit later this month.

Shadowriter.com:
I'm working on some improvements for the website, including a more permanent login system so supporters won't have to use access tokens and fill out the age verification form every time they visit. I'm also planning out an OC Stable section, which will act as a hub for content related to each of my original characters, and give their bios, stats, and metrics.

Alpha:
There is another Twine game in planning... this one is a simple fantasy era RPG that should be much easier/faster to work on, so I'm hoping it will help fill the gaps between major HardLife releases. It's a tabletop dice based system based on the precursor to the PSL rule system I used to make Dark Chasm, and the prototype for Dark Chasm II for DOS back in '96-'99. (before upgrading from a x386 with Win 3.1x to a x586 with Win98SE completely broke the CPU timing and made them unplayable)

Anyway, it assigns a number of dice based on Age, Race, Sex & Size, Physique, and initial Class choices, for each stat- with the die size based on Race and Difficulty Level. (for normal/playable races it is a d10 on Normal, a d12 on Easy, and a d8 on Hard)

For a baseline idea, it's normal for an Adult to start with 3 dice on each stat- so 3d10 for STR, AGI, VIT, WIL, LCK. If you chose human, you'd get an extra die in WIL, and so on... in total you'll get 4 bonus die distributed based on your starting choices (and your initial class will start at level 10, reflecting that gain).

The stats will form 5 vital resources/energies you'll need to balance during play/combat: Stamina, Focus, Health, Mana, & Lust.

The planned races so far are: Orc, Elf, Dwarf, Human, & Oni. (in order based on their stat preference)

Stats will soft-cap at max-roll for the number of dice. So, let's say you had 5d10 for STR, but only rolled a 23... you're not stuck with 23, you can train the stat all the way up to 50. To go beyond that point, you'd need to unlock another die.

Die count also acts as a ranking system for the stats, so 23 on 3d10 might be closer to max, but 23 on 5d10 would still be much stronger in practice. (effectively 69:115 by comparison)

Die are unlocked as you gain levels, one for every 10 levels you put into the corresponding class, and an additional across the board for every 100 levels gained. You also gain training points for Stats and Skills each level.

Difficulty Checks are performed by rolling your stat dice at or below your current stats, but above the difficulty level for the action, less your mitigation (which is equal to your die count). So doing a difficulty 10 check with 15 STR out of 3d10 would mean rolling between 7 and 18 to succeed, below 7 would be a loss-of-control/backfire, and above 18 would be a loss-of-power/fizzle.

You'll also grow taller/bigger over time with levels/power (based partly on race), and giant sized beings will enjoy boss-level health pools and AoE effects in battle while smaller ones will be better able to sneak/hide & evade/change-momentum.

Anyway, it's in the early planning phase, but I think I have the core rules set... I'll start coding it this summer, and it should be done/ready by fall.

I need to post more news/status updates through this channel... I've gotten too used to the ease of discord and almost forgotten how to do formal announcements. It hasn't helped that deviantArt is almost unuseable since Eclipse launched last May... (I need to expand to the other platforms before Wix pulls the plug on it.)

If you guys have any questions or feedback, you can always leave them here, on discord, or what's left of dA: @shadowrx
